Matt took some time off last week so that we could take the kids to the beach. It is really just a state park near our house that has a small beach off the river. The kids had fun playing in the water with Matt and my brother Josh. We had a yummy picnic and the kids played on the playground. I stayed in the shade with the baby and watched them. I thought that it was just about right. First, it was really close. Second, it was relaxing for everyone. Third, we only had to be gone for a few hours. The perfect day.
