Ethan and Conner celebrated their 6th birthday this week and they had so much fun. They got to celebrate with their Kindergarten class by bringing in doughnuts and got to wear the "birthday hats" their teacher made for them. They also had a small family party where they got some fun Lego Star Wars stuff and Rocket Launching fishing poles. Logan had a hard time yesterday understanding that it was only Ethan and Conners birthday and not his also. He pretty much had a meltdown at the party over some of the toys and we were worn out by the time the party was over.
It is hard to believe that it has been 6 years since they were born and gives us time to reflect on all of the emotions that come with having twins. I think we will never forget how happy we were to bring them both home from the NICU and all of the work that quickly followed. I am so glad that we were able to have the chance to be their parents and it has helped us be better parents and stronger as a family.
It is only fitting that this week we learned that Matt's sister Sara and her husband Sam are expecting twins. What are the odds of that? The doctors think that they are identical twins and she is due in November. With their twins, that makes 5 grandchildren due within 6 months of each other on Matt's side of the family. His sister Laura is having her first baby boy in April, I am due in July and his sister Melissa is due in October. I guess this is the year of the baby. It will be alot of fun to have so many cousins so close in age to each other.

Hi there!
I just found your blog thru Tami Hansen's blog! It was fun to read about Conner and Ethan's birthday. Matt still asks about them from time to time. Congrats on your pg! Do you know what you are having?
I started a blog a few weeks ago too. Its kind of fun and a good way to keep in touch with everyone.
cute blog! I recognize the background paper. I have become some what addicted to digital scrap booking - especially freebie hunting!
