Olivia at 2 weeks

I can't believe that Olivia is already two weeks old. She is now over her birth weight at 8 pounds 1 ounce. It is fun to see her cheeks filling out. The kids are still wanting to hold her alot. Logan favorite phrase is, "I want to hold de bebee!" She definitely get lots of hugs and kisses throughout the day. She is sleeping a little better this week. She was a bit jaundice last week and the doctor was having me nurse and bottle feed her every two hours around the clock to flush out her system. I was very glad when her billirubin levels went down! She is a sweet girl and doesn't seem to be a very fussy baby.

I am hanging in there and the house is fairly manageable. It is funny that people think we should have everything together just because we have 5 kids. I think it just means we have lower standards to maintain now. It is nice that it is summer and I don't have to get kids off to school in the morning, but it also means that I have 5 kids home all day long. I hope to get them into a better schedule soon, so that they are more entertained. Wouldn't we all be bored being couped up with our family 24/7?

I am really glad to have our new little girl in our family. I am always amazed at how adding a child to your family can change so much. It really is such a special time to have a new baby in your home. That doesn't change whether it is your first or fifth child. I wish more people celebrated this time with us instead of thinking we are nuts to have so many children or thinking that it isn't as special because we have been through this before. I mean look at her, how could we not think she is special?
