My New Cleaning Toy

This past weekend, Matt and I finally broke down and bought a Bissel carpet cleaner. Logan got into a newly opened bottle of baby wash and dumped it all over the carpet upstairs. There was nearly 28 oz of baby wash in our carpet. Matt scooped up as much as he could, but the carpet was totally saturated. We would borrow Matt's mothers old Bissel every once in a while, but we decided we needed one of our own in the house. I looked around online for a few minutes and ended up at Wal-Mart and bought this model. It was one of the nicer ones there. It took Matt a few hours to get up all the soap, but the carpet is back to its previous condition. Today, I cleaned my family room which is the dirtiest of our house. It was so gross to see how much dirt was in the carpet. The water was totally black from the areas in front of the coaches. YUCK. I would totally recommend this cleaner, I have been very happy with it so far.

I've heard using a spatula helps getting stuff like that off the carpet-- but I haven't tried it yet. With two little girls-- almost 2 and 8 weeks-- I'm sure it won't be too much longer!

I found your blog from someone else's link, and have enjoyed reading it! I am a friend of Matt's from high school.

I'm convinced. I love my little green machine for small spots, but our family room looks horrible too. Hmmm, father's day present?

I think that will be our next purchase. We finally broke down and bought a new bissell vacuum and we love it. But our carpets get hammered. Emily, your post has a way of making my life seem just as normal as yours!
